Sinar eShutter -
the electronic shutter

With the innovative Sinar eShutter developed by Sinar, standards are set in modern high-end photography. Integrated microprocessors control the electronic shutter, allowing for precise working and fast shutter speeds of up to 1/250 second. The eShutter can be used with all shutter size 0 Sinaron Digital lenses and, with the appropriate lens plate, also fits to third-party camera systems.

The eShutter can be controlled in different ways: By the new and mobile Sinar eControl, from a computer and USB interface either via the eShutter Control App or the Sinar CaptureFlow Software, or wirelessly by the Sinar eShutter App on your smartphone/tablet with iOS or Android.

Compact and lightweight

Another unique feature is the 7-blade iris diaphragm technology that produces practically circular aperture openings. The application of the most up-to-date materials and electronics resulted in a very compact and small design that allows the shutter to be mounted on recessed lens boards, which make wide-angle photography possible with a view camera.

Sinar offers two eShutter versions: the Sinar eShutter 250 with exposure times of up to 1/250 second, and the well known Sinar eShutter with 1/125 sec. Sinaron Digital eShutter lenses are available in focal lenghts from 23 to 180 mm.

The electronic shutter with Focusing Mount

For the operation with Sinar LanTec and Sinar arTec cameras that are used for landscape and architectural photography, Sinaron Digital Lenses with eShutter 250 now are also available with a Focusing Mount (FM). These lenses, too, are offerd with focal lengths from 23 to 180 mm.

These high-resolution lens optics with their wide image circle are the same as used with all other renowned lines of Sinaron Digital Lenses, and the Focusing Mount is the same one as used with the well introduced mechanical Sinaron Digital CEF Lenses.

Sinaron CEF
Mechanical shutter with focus mount

Especially for our landscape camera Sinar LanTec, we have developed the CEF shutter with a focus mount. Simply rotate the focussing mount against the stop, and the lens is set to exactly infinity. CEF shutters are also operated manually; they can be used independently from electricity or computers. The CEF shutter allows shutter speeds of up to 1/500 second as well as B and T and is available for lenses with focal lengths from 23 to 180 mm.
