Samir Nicolas Saddi

Samir Nicolas Saddi is a Canadian-Lebanese Architect born in 1950. As architect he worked on landmark cultural buildings such as the Museum of Islamic Art in Qatar and the Louvre Abu Dhabi. As photographer, he has put together more than 30 solo exhibitions worldwide with themes mostly related to abstraction as well vernacular architecture in West Africa and the Arab World.

Samir Nicolas SADDI runs ARCADE, an architectural research lab he founded in 1975.

These are some older images he captured with his Sinar f2. Some buildings, such as Aleppo's Grand Mosque, have been damaged by war. His latest Exhibition ‘OLD CITIES IN THE MIDDLE EAST’ at Paris Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi (PSUAD) in June 2016 showed an amazing urban and architectural heritage under threat.
