These days, it is hard to imagine doing studio work without a computer and software. But only well thought-out, comfortable software that simplifies your workflow will really support you in your work. You will enjoy working with Sinar CaptureFlow.

Thanks to the workflow-based application, that we have developed jointly with colormanagement-specialist basICColor, you will not only control the capturing of images and edit your pictures: The built-in color management system allows to quickly and easily create pictures with maximum color accuracy.

Studio or reprography –
We offer both

 

Our software is available in two versions. The standard version, Sinar CaptureFlow Studio, is used for all shooting done in the studio. We designed the licensed version, Sinar CaptureFlow rePro, specifically for Sinar CTM, our dual-pass filter system.

Where precise color accuracy and a high throughput rate of captures are crucial, such as in reprography, software that optimizes your workflow will be a welcome addition to your routine. Sinar CaptureFlow ensures efficient color management, even for those without expert knowledge. The software detects deviations in color accuracy and depicts them clearly.

You compose the image

 

Sinar CaptureFlow offers the ability to compose your image while shooting. The focus layer is set precisely using three focal points, which you can activate separately. You control the depth of field using a DOF-dial on the camera. The shading function allows you to correct effects in color and vignetting that can show up in the combination of lens and sensor. For reproduction work you can even correct irregularities in lighting. The overlay function is a great tool for easy and precise positioning of the subject according to the art director.

Color accuracy thanks to ICC profiles

 

For color-accurate image results, you can create an ICC profile for your camera system and scene. Sinar CaptureFlow does almost completely do all the work for you: in just four easy steps, you calibrate your system via software.

Purpose Of Use

Sinar CaptureFlow™ is a state-of-the-art application for capturing, processing and exporting images with Sinar digital camera backs. The key benefits of this application are:

  • Modern architecture with consistent support for multi-processor systems
  • Intuitive software user interface which can be customized to individual needs
  • Support for multiple monitors
  • Completely ICC-based workflow
  • Optionally, an individual color calibration for digital backs can be performed
  • No proprietary RAW data format: the raw data is stored as DNG
    • DNG allows for processing the raw data in third-party software packages (e.g. Adobe Lightroom, etc.)
  • Sinar Capture­­Shop 5.x RAW-files (.sti) are supported

  1. Enhancement in ColorProfiling
    -   New profiling algorithm by basICColor that takes a comprehensive approach in characterizing the sensor, filter system and light.
    The result is a robust transform that gets encoded in an ICC version 4 profile. The new LUT tag in version 4 allows us to embed the mathematics so that interpolation errors are entirely avoided.
    This profile is valid for the entire visible color space. It can be generated from a variety of targets, however we recommend the X-rite ColorChecker SG, because it was de­signed with many patches from different sets of pigments, and thus has the largest spectral latitude. In addition, it contains many white, grey and black patches, which make it easy to analyze the evenness of the lighting. The neutral patches have a spectral influence in the profile creation, improving the grey balance of the resulting profile.
    -   Users who want to take advantage of this enhancement can choose the profiles Sinarback eVolution 75H_v2.icc, eVolution 86H_v2.icc and Sinarback eXact_v2.icc depending on the Sinarback that is used.
