Sinar p2 on film

On the footsteps of

Ansel Adams

My approach follows that of the classical American masters like Ansel Adams, with a modern spin.

Although I do sometimes use smaller and lighter cameras, I found the best companion for this project in the form of the Sinar p2. The sturdiness of the camera, rapidity, precision, and ease of use are fundamental for getting the best results, because I often only have a short amount of time for image management and shooting or because I take my pictures under unfavourable weather conditions, such as high winds or low temperatures.

As a matter of fact, the image sharpness is stunning even for very long exposure times and lenses with long focal lengths.

At any case, the Sinar p2's characteristics are well worth the effort of taking the camera, lenses, and accessories in my backpack up to the next peak.

I’m a professional photographer based in Rome, Italy, who mainly works in the field of architecture and landscapes. My current photographic research is focused on mountain landscapes, mainly on areas of the Italian Alps and the Apennines.

My approach follows that of the classical American masters like Ansel Adams, with a modern spin. For this reason, I shoot using black and white film because I like the characteristics of large format films. I subsequently scan the pictures and digitally enhance them. The final stage is the production of fine-art prints.
